H.P. VS. 250/260 FOR THE BONANZA) ENGINE OF THE SAME DISPLACEMENT (FUEL
INJECTED IN BOTH AIRCRAFT), WITH LESS STANDARD AVIONICS AND FRILLS.
THE
DEBONAIR GAINED A FOLLOWING AS THE YEARS PROGRESSED AND BEECH ADDED IN
SOME OF THOSE FRILLS, SO THE C MODEL DEBONAIRS, LIKE THIS ONE, WERE VERY
SIMILAR TO THE SAME YEAR BONANZA.
THE 33/DEBONAIR EVENTUALLY BECAME THE WINNER IN THE WAR, AS IT WAS PRODUCED LONG AFTER THE V-TAIL PRODUCTION ENDED.
THE
C33, LIKE THIS ONE, USED THE SAME CENTER STACK RADIO LAYOUT, 6 PACK
FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS AND STRIP ENGINE GUAGES AS THE P-35 AND UP BONANZAS,

4 INDIVIDUALLY ADJUSTABLE, MODERN BUCKET SEATS REPLACED THE EARLIER BENCH SEATS.
THIS AIRCRAFT HAS HAD RETRACTOR REEL SHOULDER HARNESSES INSTALLED TO MODERN SAFETY STANDARDS.

OF THE SPECIAL MODS TO THIS AIRPLANE IS THE ADDITION OF
BRITTAIN/OSBOURNE 20 GALLONS PER SIDE TIP TANKS, GIVING THIS AIRPLANE UP
TO 114 GALLONS AVAILABLE FUEL. Now that is a cross-country airplane!
THIS AIRCRAFT WAS DAMAGED BY A HIGH WIND EVENT WHILE PARKED IN IT’S NORMAL T HANGER.
THE HANGER DOOR SKIN CAME PARTIALLY OFF, PUSHING THE AIRCRAFT BACK AGAINST THE BACK WALL AND DEBRIS SWIRLED AROUND.
THIS WAS NOT A “CRASH” OR IMPACT ACCIDENT, SO THE 3 BLADE PROPELLOR (NEW IN 2009) WAS NOT BENT, NOR WAS THE POLISHED SPINNER.
NO DAMAGE OR PROP STRIKE TO THE IO-470K ENGINE WHICH HAS 829 HOURS SINCE MAJOR.
NO DAMAGE TO THE WINGS, NOSEBOWL, NOSE GEAR DOORS OR ANY OF THE LANDING GEAR.
SPEED SLOPE WINDSHIELD LOOKS GOOD, AS DOES THE FRAMELESS SIDE VENT SIDE WINDOWS AND THE REST OF THE GLASS.

ADDITION TO SOME RANDOM SCRATCHES TO THE PAINT HERE AND THERE, THE
ACTUAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE FROM DEBRIS AND BEING MOVED IN THE HANGER
CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:
BOTH
FLAPS AND BOTH AILERONS HAVE BENT SKINS AT THE TRAILING EDGES. THE WINGS
ARE NOT DAMAGED AT THE CONTROL SURFACE ATTACH POINTS.
BOTH ELEVATORS ARE DAMAGED.
THE RUDDER SKIN IS DAMAGED BUT THE VERTICAL FIN IS NOT.
THE
LEFT UPPER COWL SKIN IS DENTED, BUT THE BOOT COWL, FIREWALL, LOWER COWL
AND UPPER NOSEBOWL ARE NOT. THE COWL STILL CLOSES AND LATCHES PROPERLY.
THE
LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE, AFT OF THE REAR WINDOW, HAS A DENT/WRINKLE.
THE DAMAGE IS ONLY ON THE SIDE, IT DOES NOT WRAP OVER THE TOP OR UNDER
THE BOTTOM AND THE REAR SIDE GLASS IS NOT DAMAGED.
THE LEFT HORIZONTAL HAS A SLIGHT AMOUNT OF DAMAGE AT THE OUTBOARD ELEVATOR ATTACHMENT. THE SKINS DO NOT SEEM TO BE AFFECTED.
THE LEFT OUTBOARD GEAR DOOR HAS SOME TWEAKS TO THE EDGES OF THE SKIN.
THE BALANCE OF THE AIRPLANE DOES NOT SEEM TO SHOW ANY ADDITIONAL DAMAGE.
INSIDE, THE YOKE IS THE LATEST STYLE RAM’S HORN UPDATE.
THE AIRPLANE IS EQUIPPED WITH THE BEECHCRAFT (BRITTAIN) B-4 AUTOPILOT SYSTEM WITH ALTITUDE HOLD.
