TAKEN FROM A PHOENIX AIRPORT AND FOUND SITTING AT A SMALL ARIZONA AIRPORT 3 MONTHS LATER, PARKED ON THE RAMP WITH NO DAMAGE.

THAT IT WAS FLYING AROUND FOR 3 MONTHS, JUST THAT AN UNDAMAGED AIRPLANE
FLOWN IN AT NIGHT DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ATTRACT ATTENTION. IT TOOK
QUITE SOME TIME FOR ANYBODY TO INQUIRE ABOUT IT, AND MORE TIME TO FIND
THE FORMER OWNER (HIS INSURANCE COMPANY HAD LONG SENSE PAID HIM FOR THE
MISSING AIRPLANE) AND REPORT THE AIRPLANE FOUND TO THE INSURANCE
COMPANY.
IN THE LAST FEW YEARS,
THIS AIRPLANE HAD RECEIVED MANY AVIONICS UPGRADES, AND AS YOU MIGHT
IMAGINE THESE RADIOS WERE STOLEN WHEN THE AIRPLANE WAS LEFT. MOST WERE
CUT OUT AND THE TRAYS REMOVED, BUT PURHAPS THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE WAS
NOT CUT!
A RECENT INSTALLATION OF A
JPI EDM 900 DIGITAL ENGINEMONITOR SYSTEM, WHICH REPLACES ALL OF THE
ENGINE AND FUEL GUAGES WITH A LARGE DIGITAL SCREEN AND IS CERTIFIED AS A
PRIMARY GUAGE, NOT A BACKUP.
THE
EDM CONNECTORS ARE VERY EASY TO UNSCREW WITH JUST YOUR FINGERS, SO
THAT’S WHAT THE THIEVES DID, LEAVING ALL OF THE CONNECTORS FULLY WIRED
UP, THE COMPLETE HARNESS INTACT AND ALL THE PROBES STILL INSTALLED!

GREAT STROKE OF LUCK, AS THE DIGITAL FACE CAN BE BOUGHT SEPERATELY AND
SLID RIGHT BACK IN, BUT INSTALLING THE PROBES AND HARNESS CAN BE
THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS!
OTHER THAN
THE MISSING RADIOS, THE ONLY DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE IS TO THE RIGHT
AILERON TRAILING EDGE, WHERE IT CAUGHT AN OBSTRUCTION AND TORE SLIGHTLY
AFTER THE WING WAS REMOVED FROM THE FUSELAGE.

BEGGED THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER TO SELL ME THE PLANE RIGHT WHERE IT WAS,
ON THE SPOT, WHEN HE CALLED ME FROM THE PLANE TO ASK ABOUT IT’S VALUE,
BUT THAT IS NOT THE WAY THEIR RULES WORK, SO INSTEAD HE HAD A
PROFESSIONAL RECOVERY COMPANY TAKE THE AIRPLANE APART NICELY AND
TRANSPORT IT, AND THEN I BOUGHT IT FROM THEM!!
WE
BOUGHT AND ARE SELLING HERE THE COMPLETE AIRPLANE, WITH ENGINE, ACCESSORIES, EXHAUST, COMPLETE AIRFRAME, LOGBOOKS, BILL OF SALE AND FAA AIRWORTHINESS
CERTIFICATE!
AND EVEN THE KEYS!
MOST
OF THE FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS ARE INCLUDED AND ALL OF THE SWITCHGEAR IS
INTACT, BUT THERE IS NO ATTITUDE INDICATOR OR D.G. INSTALLED.
THE ONLY TRAYS INSTALLED AND WIRED ARE FOR A GARMIN AUDIO PANEL AND A KING NAV-COM, (THOSE PANEL UNITS THEMSELVES ARE NOT INCLUDED).
THE AUDIO PANEL INCLUDED AN INTERCOM SYSTEM AND THE WIRING FOR THAT FEATURE IS STILL INSTALLED.
A PATHFINDER P2A WING LEVELOR AUTOPILOT IS ALSO STILL FULLY INSTALLED.
INSIDE,
THE FRONT SEATS LOOK FINE BUT NOT NEW, THE REAR SEAT IS DIRTY FROM
HAVING DIRTY ITEMS PLACED ON THEM, THE SIDE PANEL PLASTICS AND DASH
PLASTICS LOOK BETTER THAN AVERAGE BUT THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE PLASTIC IS
BADLY CRACKED.
THE EXTERIOR IS
FACTORY GREEN AND IN PASSABLE CONDITION. THE ONLY KNOWN ISSUES ARE WITH
THE TEAR IN THE RIGHT AILERON TRAILING EDGE SKIN (PATCH, RESKIN OR REPLACE) AND A
LEADING EDGE DENT ON THE LEFT SIDE HORIZONTAL STAB, PRE-EXISTING AND
STRAIGHTENABLE/FILLABLE, NO REPLACEMENT REQUIRED TO BE AIRWORTHY!
THE
ENGINE IS GREAT! IT HAS NO APPARENT ISSUES, NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE AND 948
HOURS SINCE MAJOR OVERHAUL, TO MANUFACTURERS NEW PARTS LIMITS WITH NEW
LYCOMING CYLINDERS AND COMPLETE DYNAMIC BALANCING, BY PENN YAN! NO PROP
DAMAGE AND NO SUSPECTED ISSUES. AT LAST ANNUAL MARCH OF 2020, THE
COMPRESSIONS WERE, AS YOU WOULD EXPECT, GREAT AT 74/74/72/75 OVER 80!
