For sale is our 1970 Rockwell Aero Commander 100-180, 'Lark' with Lycoming O-360 180 HP.  This old classic airplane is in great shape.  We have used it in our little flying club to get a couple of "tickets" and it's time to move on to more complex machines.  It runs great and flies prefectly.  It competes with the Cessna 172 but since it has the 180 HP Lycoming engine it climbs faster and hauls a little more.  I really like this old bird.  Very dependable!
Here are the specs:
Airframe: 4800 total time
Engine: Lycoming O-360 A2F, 875 SMOH ,  It has the hollow crankshaft for constant speed prop. When we did our first annual inspection (100 hours ago)  there was some pitting in the cylinders. Rather than treating the jugs, I sent the engine to AERO ENGINES, Winchester, VA for tear down inspection only to find the crankshaft was cracked. The crank was replaced with all new lower end.  Jugs were honed and reinstalled with new rings.  Sure feels good to know you made the right decision.
When your friends and family are going to use this airplane, a wise man goes the extra mile for piece of mind.  It's a good engine now.
